The Pudding Bar
This two month pop up on Greek Street in Soho (currently home to the Creme Egg Cafe) was a dessert lover's oasis; a wondrous place where you could have pudding for dinner without being a social weirdo.
The petite and intimate cafe, spread over 2 floors, featured a changing menu of six mouth watering desserts plus a cheese board for the savoury toothed imposters.
Dishes were artfully presented with sprinkles of crumbs and splashes of caramel; each just left you wanting more. A chocolate meringue cheesecake with hazelnuts was a chocolate-lover's dream; the banoffee pie was served with perfectly caramelised slivers of banana and lashings of clotted cream.
Sadly, the pop-up cafe is no more than a fleeting memory now. But hey, if we managed to #BringBackWispa, maybe, just maybe, there's still hope...
