Museum of Food

Perfectly located within the food heaven that is Borough Market, the quirky duo Bompas & Parr have opened their first museum entirely devoted to the art, culture and history of food.
Visitors make their way through a series of rooms all offering an immersive and interactive experience. Donning googles for a short video, we sat in a mechanical chair which sprung in to life, squeezing, pushing and pulsating surprised guests on a journey through the human digestive system.
Upstairs was a beautifully serene butterfly forest, all bathed in a neon pink glow, where visitors could learn about the importance of pollination within the world's eco-chain.
The Choco-Phonica room explored links between taste and sound as you sampled chocolates supposedly complimented by different sounds.
If you're looking for a museum to truly keep you entertained, then this is the perfect place. Who knew being attacked by a chair could be so fun?
