Set within the W London hotel in Leicester Square, this rather glamorous dining venue serves up high end East Asian-inspired food in the heart of London's Theatreland.
Set over two floors, the lavish interior is impressively clad in coppers and golds, with a stunning brass geometric ceiling. A feature spiral staircase winds upstairs over the long ground floor cocktail bar. Walls are lined with a myriad of jars containing spices, ingredients and sauces. Smart diners sip Lychee Rasberry Bellinis on smart red and orange chairs.
The food doesn't come cheap; the average main course is around £17, and that's without rice or sides. However, the quality is there; the Monkfish, with Wok Fried Chinese Leaf Cabbage, Water Chestnut and Cucumber was meaty and flavoursome, the Red Curried Duck with Pineapple Sambal was gorgeous.
Intrigued by the 'Cookie Bag' dessert, we were slightly dismayed to discover it was actually just three (slightly average) cookies in a plastic bag; perhaps meant for a show interval snack.
