Maltby St Market
With the best array of food available in London, a gin distillery and a giant shop full of vintage furniture, Maltby Street Market is a must for a summery weekend lunchtime.
Food-wise, highlights include the incredible St John (warm custard basil doughnuts are heaven), 40 Maltby Street (actually a wine bar but the small plates are addictive), the biggest cheesiest toasties from The Cheese Truck, and of course the epic Bad Brownies.
The Jensen's Gin distillery at the far end features shelves of creatively flavoured gins, all perfectly packaged in their medicinal bottles. You can order from the bar and enjoy a G&T in their small bar inside, or else check out the Little Bird bar mid-way through the market, which does a great selection of gin-based cocktails. It's also worth trying Gosnells London Mead - if you buy three bottles you get a free tote bag too.
Finally, take a winding walk around the quirky Lassco which sells all kinds of reclaimed furniture, artworks and ironmongery.
