Lumiere London

This annual festival of light aims to transform urban landscapes with spectacular, immersive and ambition installations from cutting edge artists.
This year's festival featured over 30 light sculptures on a path of discovery around Kings Cross, Soho and Mayfair. The pieces included giant flying fish, manic stick-men climbing a building, and the stunning 1.8 London by Janet Echelman.
Strung between buildings at Oxford Circus, this enormous net sculpture could be controlled by audiences via an app that manipulated the light and projected patterns onto it.
The festival is a perfect opportunity to see how London's iconic architecture and inky winter sky can be so creatively and fleetingly transformed.
