Kurobuta

We were lucky enough to book into the soft launch of Kurobuta - a Japanese Izakaya (think 'pub') for their extravagant new bottomless brunch menu.
The restaurant is simply designed, with a mix of booths, benches and high tables; it all looks very 'organic' and raw. Lightbulbs on coloured wires haphazardly light the space, and food is served on to a long feature stone fronted bar.
Australian chef Scott Hallsworth (previously Head Chef at Nobu - CVs don't come much better) has created a gorgeous menu. Out of the kitchen comes Build-your-own Ramen, Kurobuta Fried Chicken, Beer Grilled Steaks, Salmon Sashimi, Pizza with Truffle Ponzu...the list goes on. And the best part is that you can help yourself from the buffet as many times as you want within your two hour sitting. Combined with unlimited cocktails plus a DJ spinning sunny tracks, weekend brunches don't get much better.
