This cute and friendly little 'farm-to-fork' restaurant focuses on sustainably sourced ingredients and dishes with great flavours.
Situated slightly away from the bustle of Soho, Jar Kitchen is simply decorated with rustic wooden tables, hand written chalkboard menus, and jars which act as light fixtures, vases and, of course, cocktail glasses.
Jar Kitchen's belief that 'all good food starts with fresh ingredients' shines through in each dish. A pre-theatre two course menu is offered for only £16.50; a bargain given the quality of the seasonal food.
We tried the Chicken liver parfait which arrived on a wooden chopping board with fig & onion jam and toasted raisin bread. A main course of Hake, fennel, red wine, and crushed potatoes was beautifully seasoned and the Yoghurt panna cotta with figs, walnuts and honey was fresh and light.
