Claw at FishMarket
Pop up favourites CLAW are focused on turning sustainable, local seafood into amazing street food style dishes. Having won the Virgin Foodpreneur in 2015, these seafood aficionados have teamed up with Fish Market to bring us a weekend brunch menu, available for 2 months only.
Fish Market, located in the oldest surviving warehouse in the City, is elegantly decorated, with a pretty outdoor heated courtyard and a white, blue and wooden styled interior. A mix of banquette, bar and table seating, caters for all guests' needs whether cocktails, brunch or dinner, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
The brunch menu offers 2 courses for £16 or 3 courses for £18, and add-on bottomless prosecco or bloody marys for £15. The starter of eggs benedict was tasty, if unadventurous. But the main of Newlyn barbecued octopus, with pickled cucumber, smoky BBQ sauce and coriander, served nestled within a buttery brioche was a triumph. The 'healthy' dessert of toasted banana bread with raw nutella spread the followed was also delicious as well as completely moreish.
