Caravan

Caravan, situated with the very up-and-coming King's Cross development (which also now boasts Grain Store and the German Gymnasium) has perfected the ingredients for a great destination restaurant.
Combining an industrial dining room (once a Victorian grain store and now a Grade II listed building), open bar and kitchen, on site coffee roastery and an outdoor terrace overlooking Granary Square's beautiful water-fountain installation, Caravan can do no wrong.
Equally as good for brunch and dinner, the quality of the sharing plates menu shines. Jalapeno corn bread, served warm with melting chipotle butter, was delicious; Confit salmon, fennel, parsnip puree and blood orange, equally so, and a larger plate of Grilled sea bass with red coconut curry, papaya, daikon and peanuts was stunning.
Leave space for dessert too; the Chocolate peanut caramel tart was one of the best things I've eaten all year.
